Steelers Sign WR Ray-Ray McCloud, Waive WR Saeed Blacknall

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed WR Ray-Ray McCloud to a contract on Friday and waived WR Saeed Blacknall.

McCloud was among a group of free agents to try out for the Steelers earlier in the week.

McCloud, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bills back in 2018. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.6 million contract when he was waived by the Bills coming out of the preseason.

The Panthers claimed McCloud off of waivers soon after before waiving him in October. McCloud returned to the Bills’ practice squad a few days later and re-signed to a futures deal this offseason.

Unfortunately, the Bills waived him last month.

In 2019, McCloud appeared in six games for the Panthers and totaled 174 kick return yards and 82 punt return yards.
