Titans Release TE Chase Coffman, Promote WR Rico Richardson

Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com reports that Tennessee is promoting WR Rico Richardson to the active roster and releasing TE Chase Coffman in a subsequent move.

Coffman, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals. He lasted a little over three years in Cincinnati before he later caught on with Falcons in 2012.

Coffman spent two years with the Falcons before he later signed on with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in August of last year. However, he was released at the start of the regular before Tennessee elected to bring him back a few days later.

This season, Coffman has appeared in one game and caught four passes for 42 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.
