NFC West Notes: Cardinals, 49ers, Seahawks

Cardinals

Per Josh Weinfuss, the Cardinals made a series of promotions and hires, including:

  • Quentin Harris to director of player personnel.
  • Dru Grigson to assistant director of player personnel.
  • Adrian Wilson to director of pro scouting.
  • Chris Culmer to director of college scouting.
  • Josh Scobey to Western regional scout.
  • Nathan DiGregorio to pro scout.
  • The Cardinals also hired Keegan Leyrer as a Western area scout and Andrew Caskin as a scouting assistant.
  • According to Alex Marvez, Terry McDonough will assume an overseer role as vice president of player personnel.

Seahawks

Seahawks second-round WR D.K. Metcalf ran routes well enough at rookie minicamp that Seattle thinks he could start outside and allow Tyler Lockett to move to the slot to replace Doug Baldwin

“I know that everybody’s wondering about this route tree thing and all that now,” HC Pete Carroll said via John Clayton of the Washington Post. “I don’t see that being a factor. He looks he’s very well-versed, been coached.”
